Metro to halt weekend C Line rail service from Aviation/LAX to Redondo Beach until Monday

The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority will suspend its C Line (Green) service from 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18, through the end of service Sunday at the Aviation/LAX and Redondo Beach stations as crews perform signal system upgrades.

During the closure, the Mariposa, El Segundo and Douglas stations will be closed. Regular service to all stations is scheduled to resume at start of service Monday.

All eastbound train service will begin at Aviation/LAX and all westbound trains will travel as far as Aviation/LAX and turn back toward Norwalk.

Bus shuttles will replace train service between the Aviation/LAX and Redondo Beach stations, stopping at every station in between.

Customers planning to travel in the work area should allow extra time between buses and trains, Metro officials said.
